Stations / Apparatus

Foothills Fire & Rescue currently operates five fire stations: (click on each image for a larger photo)

	Rainbow Hills Station 28812 Rainbow Hill Road, South Side of I-70, off Exit 252. (Near El Rancho)
	The newly remodeled station now serves as the district's main administrative office and has 3 truck bays, a full-service office and storage room with training facilities.
	Lookout Mountain Station 67 So. Lookout Mtn. Road
	The structure has four truck bays, an office, a kitchen , a dayroom, a rest room and a shower.
	Grapevine Station 893 So. Grapevine Road (North side of District near I-70 exit 256)
	The Station has two large truck bays. There is no office or meeting space at the Grapevine station.
	Idledale Station South of Highway 74
	The station has has four truck bays, a meeting area, kitchen, a rest room.
	Mount Vernon Station Mount Vernon Country Club (Space loaned by Mt. Vernon Metro Dist.)
	The station consists of two bays and storage within Mount Vernon’s maintenance building

Additional Facilities/Property

* The Alpine Rescue Building is located on Foothills property and is on a 40 year lease to Alpine Rescue Team.

* The Foothills Fire Protection District also owns undeveloped property on Lininger Mountain and in Idledale.

Finding, applying for and receiving grant funds has been one way for Foothills Fire & Rescue to off-set the costs of purchasing needed equipment and apparatus, without approaching the residents for additional monies. Foothills Fire & Rescue applied and was awarded a Gilpin County Limited Gaming Grant from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (worth $157,000) that paid for approximately 1/3 of the cost of a new Pierce® Heavy Duty Rescue Fire Truck (580).
