New Pierce® Heavy Duty Rescue Fire Truck
Finding, applying for and receiving grant funds has been one way for Foothills Fire & Rescue to off-set the costs of purchasing needed equipment and apparatus, without approaching the residents for additional monies. Foothills Fire & Rescue applied and was awarded a Gilpin County Limited Gaming Grant from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs (worth $157,000) that paid for approximately 1/3 of the cost of a new Pierce® Heavy Duty Rescue Fire Truck. Delivery date is scheduled for the second week of December 2008.
